Magnitude Software Acquires Agility Multichannel, leading Product Information Management (PIM) Provider

Acquisition Targets Expansion into Rapidly Growing Market for Product Content Management for Multichannel Commerce

AUSTIN, Texas – October 25, 2017 – Magnitude Software, Inc., a leader in delivering corporate performance insights for organizations with increasingly fragmented application and data environments, today announced the acquisition of Agility Multichannel, a product information management (PIM) solutions provider focused on product content management and syndication for multichannel commerce enablement. The acquisition expands Magnitude Software’s ability to drive digital transformation for their customers, broaden coverage into the rapidly growing digital commerce market, and extend its portfolio of pervasive connectivity, master data management (MDM) and pre-packaged analytics solutions for corporate performance management (CPM).

“Our business was created to drive the end-to-end process of delivering insights to business leaders via access, harmonization and analytics to support business decision-making, and reduce operational cost and risk,” said Chris Ney, Chairman & CEO of Magnitude Software. “Today, we expand our capabilities in a growing and relatively under-served market with an agile PIM solution for product content management and syndication – without which organizations cannot efficiently deliver the content necessary for integrating into leading digital commerce solutions.”

According to Gartner, “Digital commerce has been growing rapidly for several years. Gartner forecasts that the digital commerce platform market will achieve a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15% for the period 2015 to 2020.”*

Magnitude Software products allow customers to better leverage their ever-expanding data sets and sources via: connectivity to access the data wherever it resides; master data management to audit, govern, and harmonize data from multiple sources; and pre-packaged analytics to report on and analyze the data to derive trusted insights that improve and manage corporate performance. Agility Multichannel expands these capabilities in PIM, and specifically product content management and syndication for transforming commerce where there are similar needs to access data, manage and harmonize it, then publish it out through multiple channels to enable a customer-experience-focused digital commerce presence, as well as serve other PIM and product data management needs.

“Becoming part of a larger enterprise with strong organizational execution capabilities at scale, and expertise within adjacent markets, accelerates our ability to capitalize on the push for digital transformation, which we see as an imperative for companies seeking to improve or expand their commerce presence,” said Richard Hunt, CEO of Agility Multichannel. “The combined strengths of Magnitude Software and Agility Multichannel open up opportunities to deliver a broader range of complementary solutions that addresses the expanding and highly specialized needs of enterprises driving digital transformation.”

“Agility changed the way our company works. It streamlined processes, cleaned data, and created ‘one source of the truth’. It’s saved time, money and hassle,” said Agility customer Nick Cook, European Brand Director of TTI. “Users like it and embrace it because it’s intuitive and benefits them, no matter what level, or what department. That’s why it’s used, that’s why it’s successful.”

Magnitude Software Adds Tony Fisher to Lead Growing Connectivity Business

Strong Momentum Propels Company Into the Back Half of 2017

AUSTIN, Texas – August 1, 2017 – Magnitude Software, Inc., a leader in enabling corporate performance management (CPM), master data management (MDM) and data connectivity in heterogeneous environments, today announced industry veteran Tony Fisher has joined the company. As the General Manager for the Connectivity business, Fisher will be responsible for strategy, growth, product and operations as well as integrating the company’s Simba-based technologies for new Magnitude solutions.

Fisher has been at the forefront of the data management space, spending nearly two decades driving business and navigating the evolution of big data, data management and connectivity. Prior to joining Magnitude Software, Fisher served in various capacities for leading data management providers, including DataFlux Corporation (Chief Executive Officer), Progress Software (Vice President Data Collaboration and Integration) and Zaloni (Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development). Under his leadership at DataFlux Corporation, DataFlux grew to the worldwide leader in data quality. In his capacity at Zaloni, he helped the organization in its evolution to a leading software provider in data lake management technology.

“Technology advances have yielded a flood of data – social, location, behavioral, Internet of Things-driven. Answering the important business questions requires knowing what data you have, where and how it relates to the problem you’re trying to solve,” said Fisher. “Connectivity is a foundational technology, essential to making sense of all this information. By tightly integrating this capability with the rest of the Magnitude portfolio, customers will have the means to derive meaningful insights from their data, wherever it resides. I’m excited to accelerate the pace of innovation at Magnitude to help enterprises make sense of all their data.”

Fisher joins Magnitude Software at a time of increasing momentum, propelled by the needs of enterprises to access, analyze and act on the right data in order to make critical business decisions, innovate and enhance how they manage corporate performance. The company has expanded its base to include more than half of the Fortune 500 and all the leaders in the 2017 Gartner Business Intelligence Magic Quadrant.

“Innovation is no longer the sole domain of a small group of ‘really smart people’ within a company. The advent of massive amounts of data has put innovation in the hands of everyone, yet only some have the ability work with it,” said Chris Ney, chairman and CEO, Magnitude Software. “We have decades of experience supporting innovation for major brands by better connecting, harmonizing, governing and analyzing their data. Adding another strong industry leader to our family will accelerate our ability to deliver effective solutions with higher support levels, faster time-to-value and lower risk than our competitors.”

Magnitude Software Strengthens Partner Ecosystem with Parity Solutions Integration Partnership

Combined capabilities make the most of data warehousing expertise and data warehouse automation technology for UK and European market

AUSTIN, Texas – September 6, 2016 – Parity Solutions and Magnitude Software, a leader in enabling corporate performance management (CPM), master data management (MDM) and data warehouse automation (DWA) in heterogeneous environments today announced a partnership agreement for Parity to expand system integration capabilities in the UK for Magnitude’s DWA and MDM product set. The partnership enables Magnitude to offer expanded service and a greater variety of data warehouse automation integration options in the UK and Europe.

Parity Solutions, a system integration company, has extensive experience developing and integrating Data Warehouse and BI solutions. Parity implemented and supports a data warehouse solution at BAT (British American Tobacco) incorporating the Magnitude product set.

Using Magnitude’s DWA solution (Kalido), along with BusinessObjects, British American Tobacco Belgium with the help of Parity Solutions created a unified BI platform in the wake of its merger with STC.

The business benefits of the new solution were immediately apparent, driven by the insight Magnitude’s DWA solution gave BAT Belgium into its supply chain and sales operations. The flexibility to change data across BAT Belgium’s diverse source systems means executives get consistent, accurate and up-to-date information, allowing them to track sales performance and monitor market share on a daily basis.

“The project managed and delivered by Parity has impressed on every criterion – speed of delivery, budget and all-round capability,” said Frederic Wens, Business Systems & Data Manager at British American Tobacco Belgium. “The Kalido based solution has enabled us to deliver a future-proof, flexible data warehouse which takes a number of different source feeds, produced bullet-proof consolidated post-merger reports and ensured compatibility with our ongoing SAP convergence program. We regard this as an evolving program. Should we ever merge in the future, I now have no concerns we’d be able to deliver consolidated reports in time.”

Parity and Magnitude previously worked on joint proposals; under this new partnership both companies have access to an extensive array of ventures in the UK and Europe.

“Magnitude Software is proud to welcome Parity Solutions into our Partner Program” said Mike Wheeler, Vice President of Channel Development at Magnitude Software. “The high quality of Parity’s service to our joint customer, as evidenced by their 17-year relationship with BAT, is indicative of the type of world-class partners we are continuing to add to our growing partner network across the globe.”

Andy Ogg, Managing Director, Parity Solutions Ltd. said, “We are excited about the Partnership between Parity and Magnitude. With the combined skills, I believe that we will be in a great position to deliver holistic BI solutions for our customers.”

Magnitude ONE Named KMWorld Trendsetting Product for 2016

Trend-product-2016-webKMWorld Names Magnitude Software’s Midmarket MDM solution, Magnitude ONE, a Trendsetting Product for 2016

Magnitude ONE  is a robust master data management solution for  delivering and maintaining integrated, clean, accurate, and trusted customer master data.

KMWorld Editor, Sandra Haimila, said the magazine and its judges looked for products “designed, developed and perfectly timed to fill a niche in the marketplace before users are even aware that such functionality and flexibility have been missing.”

“Our judging panel agrees that such characteristics as usefulness, scalability, and level of innovation are among the most valuable components that we consider when we annually select the KMWorld Trend-Setting Products,” Haimila said. “And the panel believes that timing is key. Too late in the market and competitors already have a foothold. Too early and customers are nowhere to be found.”

Magnitude Software Acquires Simba Technologies, leading Data Access and Analytics Connectivity Provider

Acquisition enables connectivity to heterogeneous applications, traditional and Big Data sources

AUSTIN, Texas – AUGUST 16, 2016 – Magnitude Software, a leading provider of Enterprise Information Management (EIM) software, today announced the acquisition of Simba Technologies Inc., a global leader in cross-platform standards-based data access solutions for relational, multi-dimensional and non-relational data sources. The acquisition expands Magnitude Software’s corporate performance management (CPM), master data management (MDM) and data connectivity capabilities.

“This acquisition furthers our strategic vision to enable enterprise-wide visibility and insights for corporate performance management,” said Chris Ney, Chairman & CEO of Magnitude Software. “As data heterogeneity expands exponentially, so does the complexity of connectivity challenges that Simba can help solve, accelerating our ability to put data into the hands of business users. The experience and knowledge of the Simba team, combined with the capabilities to deliver connectivity to a wide variety of data sources, increase Magnitude Software’s growth trajectory in reporting, analytics, and data management within the information management market.”

Magnitude Software products provide customers with: operational reporting and analytics in the form of pre-packaged solutions for commonly sought-after functional business areas; and reliable, trustworthy data, through its master data management solutions. Simba Technologies provides data access between front-end applications and back-end data sources, bridging the gap between innovative and non-conventional data sources to the universal industry standard.  Since the early 1990’s, Simba has worked closely with leading software vendors, such as Microsoft Corp., to enable universal access to the most widely deployed data sources through ODBC, the defacto database connectivity standard.

Together, Magnitude Software and Simba deliver specialized solutions tailored to address data fragmentation within hybrid application environments (cloud and on premises). This includes the ability to deliver personalized operational business intelligence in support of financial operations, where this data is spread across enterprise ERP and Cloud/SaaS solutions. Further, the acquisition will allow native connectivity to be embedded into Magnitude Software’s offerings to harmonize business critical master data, such as customer and product, in an enterprise data landscape that is increasingly fragmented.

“We are thrilled to become part of the Magnitude Software family,” said Amyn Rajan, CEO of Simba Technologies. “Simba perfectly complements the existing Magnitude Software solutions, allowing for connectivity to more diverse applications and a wide array of data environments.”

Simba uses SimbaEngineX to build all of its drivers, and Simba’s ODBC, JDBC, and OLAP connectivity technology is embedded in products from companies including Alteryx,  Cloudera, Couchbase, Databricks, DataStax, Google, Hortonworks, MapR, Microsoft, Oracle, Qubole, SAP, Splunk, Tableau, and Teradata.
