Magnitude Software Introduces Noetix Analytics 5.4

AUSTIN, Texas – April 13, 2015 – Magnitude Software, a leading provider of Enterprise Information Management (EIM) software, today announced the general availability of Noetix Analytics 5.4.  This release includes new content, support for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2, performance enhancements, streamlined maintenance and other upgrades to improve the overall ownership experience for customers.

“This new version of our packaged data warehouse contains some real treats for our customers and delivers on our mission to provide an essential ingredient for efficient business operations and decision making,” said Raghu Raghudev, senior director of Product Development for Noetix Analytics.  “Noetix Analytics 5.4 has been in the works for more than a year and includes major contributions from team members across many groups and time zones.”

Important new features available in this release include:

Advanced Supply Chain Planning Enhancements
Noetix Analytics for Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning has been enhanced to provide better insight into an organization’s planning activities. For example, the new version allows users to analyze cost and revenue by plans and warehouses, identify planned on-time shipments and late demands by customers, calculate un-met demand ratios by products and find the top ten demand quantities/values by customer.

Employee Expenses
Noetix Analytics 5.4 provides data marts to analyze and assist with the management of employee expenses.  Analysis of various cycle times (i.e. average management approval cycle time) helps identify bottlenecks during expenses process and approval times. Expense reports can be generated showing invoices by organization and source.  Customers have the ability to manage corporate policy violations by organization and type.

Additional Functional Coverage
Noetix Analytics 5.4 includes new analytical content for Advanced Collections, Learning Management, E-Business Tax, and Advanced Pricing.

Performance Improvements
Change Data Capture (CDC) and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes have been tuned to efficiently capture and apply inserts, updates and delete operations. Smart MD5 comparison is used to suppress false updates arising from source systems. Tables are restructured for better query performance by reducing IO. Operational Data Store (ODS) and Data Mart (DM) tables are consolidated to remove data duplication.

Additional improvements and enhancements include: enabling Persistent Caching in Informatica lookups, improved performance of surrogate key generation, improved performance of Delete, Extract and Complete processes, Export IDS metadata as XML, new Integration Interface tables support and streamlined upgrades.

Log Based CDC Now Available
Noetix Analytics 5.4 introduces support for log based CDC to capture Data Manipulation Language (DML) changes from Oracle E-Business Suite, available as a special release. This method eliminates ETL overhead and CDC DML triggers on source application. Popular log-based data replication tools such as Informatica Data Replication and Oracle Goldengate are certified to work with Noetix Analytics 5.4.
